01The challenge
What we were handed
A heritage-designated façade limited what could be done to the storefront, and the landlord’s fixturing period was nine weeks with penalties after.
TORONTO · RETAIL FIT-OUT
A heritage storefront reglazed and a flexible fixture grid installed in a nine-week landlord window.

01The challenge
A heritage-designated façade limited what could be done to the storefront, and the landlord’s fixturing period was nine weeks with penalties after.
02The approach
We took the heritage permit application on ourselves and specified a thermally broken system that matched the original sightlines, while the interior fixture grid was designed to be re-merchandised by staff without a contractor.
03The result
Heritage approval in five weeks, store open on schedule, and a layout the retailer has since reconfigured three times without calling us — which is the point.
