1. Acceptance

This website at girderconstruction.ca is operated by Girder Construction Inc. ("GIRDER", "we", "us"). By using it you agree to these terms. If you don't agree with them, please don't use the site.

2. The site is informational

Everything on this site is published to describe what we do and help you decide whether to talk to us. It is general information, not professional advice, and not a substitute for design, engineering, code, permit or legal advice for your specific project. Building requirements vary by municipality, by building and by use — get advice for your situation before relying on anything here.

Nothing on this site is an offer capable of acceptance, and submitting a form does not create a contract or an obligation on either side.

3. Estimates, quotes and timelines

Any budget range, duration, sequence or process described on this site is indicative. Real pricing and real dates come out of a written proposal issued after we have seen your space and reviewed the relevant drawings and landlord requirements.

The scope, price, schedule, warranty and every other term of any construction work we perform are set out in a signed contract between us. Where this website and that contract differ, the contract governs — always. No page here creates a warranty, guarantee or performance obligation of any kind.

4. Project content

While this site is in preview, the case studies in the projects section are clearly-labelled illustrative examples rather than verified completed work, and the photography is licensed stock standing in for our own. Those labels appear on the pages themselves. Do not rely on any of that content as a record of work performed; ask us for verifiable references instead.

5. Intellectual property

The GIRDER name, logo, site design, text and original graphics are owned by us or licensed to us. You may view, download and print pages for your own non-commercial use in evaluating our services. You may not republish, resell, systematically copy, scrape or use our content to train a commercial model without our written permission. Third-party photography remains the property of its licensors and is credited where required.

6. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Use the site for any unlawful purpose
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the site or its underlying systems
• Interfere with the site's operation, including by automated overload, or circumvent its spam protection
• Submit false, misleading or someone else's personal information via our forms
• Send us unsolicited commercial email through the addresses published here

7. Third-party links

Where we link to another organization's website, we do it for convenience. We don't control those sites, we're not responsible for their content or their privacy practices, and a link is not an endorsement.

8. Disclaimer

The site is provided "as is" and "as available". We work to keep it accurate and up to date, but we don't warrant that it is complete, current, error-free or uninterrupted. To the extent permitted by law, Girder Construction Inc. is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential loss arising from your use of, or inability to use, this website — including lost profits, lost data or business interruption. This clause is about the website. It does not limit any liability under a signed construction contract, and it does not exclude liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada that apply in it. The courts of Ontario have jurisdiction over any dispute arising from this website.

11. Changes

We may update these terms. The current version lives at this address with the "last updated" date at the top. Continuing to use the site after a change means you accept the updated terms.
